Good evening,
After weeks of mounting tension and worry among Scots families, last night's moment where we all paid tribute to our NHS workers was emotional. In my house there was uncertainty as to whether anyone would actually come out onto the street. I looked out at 7:55pm and all was silent. Then a few minutes later my neighbour came out of her house with a loudhailer...! Then to the left an entire family came out shouting and clapping. Along the road there were pot and pans being banged together and fake sirens unleashed. I felt some release. We all needed to say thank you and this was a great moment. Our team here edited some of the best reader videos together into a lovely package which you can see on scotsman.com. With so much news to feel bad about, this was a special moment.
