The latest Covid-19 news from around Lancashire
View email online | | | | | Apr 28, 2020 | | | | | | Good evening everyone, All of us will have things or people we are missing as we head into week six of lockdown. Whether it be a hug from a grandchild or the thought of a pint of foaming ale, there will have been some things which have been tugging at your consciousness. But the fact is, while these will be the things we want to do when life gets back to some kind of normality, there will be others which we are not looking forward to and indeed, to which we will never return. Is there anyone who is looking forward to their daily commute? Hours sitting in queues of traffic or waiting for trains which either don’t arrive or turn up completely packed? And have any of us really missed myriad trips to supermarkets we make to top up on the weekly shop? Lockdown in some ways has made life simpler. A big shop has to last a week, we have to think of creative ways to keep ourselves amused, we appreciate those around us more and guess what...most of us are not spending as much money as we did before on stuff we don’t need. Let’s not forget all the good bits of lockdown when the restrictions start to ease. Until next time, take care Gillian Parkinson Editor | |
