It seems incredible that just a few months ago we were able to go out for a drink or to the match with friends, plan holidays and enjoy a meal with extended family around the dinner table. How our lives have changed since then...and even though the Prime Minister has said he is easing some rules, any kind of normal life is still a long way off. But a quick look through our files since March 23 reveals some of the amazing people who live in our part of Lancashire and the fabulous acts of kindness they have carried out. So when we look back in years to come what will be our abiding memories of the first 50 days of lockdown? Well, we got to know our neighbours much better; we gained a greater appreciation of the nature and wildlife all around us; we understood how much we need our family and friends. And most of all, we appreciated those little freedoms that make life worth living. Nicola Adam Deputy Editor | |
