Dear Friend of Progressive Media, By now I am sure you are as impressed as I am with the powerful reporting of Jeff Bryant on the charter school agenda and the army of billionaires and corporations that are trying to destroy public education as we know it. He is tirelessly working against the Betsy DeVos Department of Education—a hothouse of crimes against children and the democracy we all want them to live in. I won’t belabor the point: Jeff is a tireless reporter, and he wants to expand the efforts of Our Schools: more writers, more journalism, more publications picking up the stories, even more impact. He is in it for the long haul—the charter school agenda can be beaten back, and the promise of public education can be restored. Teachers, parents, and students need a key ally: media that can beat back the charter school movement. | ||||
