I get so excited for you guys to read many of the articles in the newsletter. Today I read an excerpt from Matthew Wickman’s “Out of the best books” (linked in the “Perspectives” section below) and it got me thinking about some of the books that made an impact on my life. Some of my favorites are “Anna Karenina,” “Man’s Search for Meaning,” “The Little Prince,” “Sense and Sensibility” and “Jane Eyre.” Tell me: What are some books that have changed your life? According to the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index the housing market is beginning to decline. After eight consecutive months of rising interest rates, supply chain issues and exorbitant home prices, home builders are starting to cut prices in order to limit cancelations and improve sales. | This week marks the one-year anniversary of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Although it exists as a distant memory in the minds of most Americans, many news outlets are reporting that the Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee are poised to release a report critical of the way the Biden administration handled the withdrawal, and it may serve as the foundation of impeachment proceedings.
