No guarantee lockdown restrictions will be eased by Easter holidays

Deputy First Minister John Swinney had said lockdown restrictions will be eased 'with a great deal of caution' and admitted there can be no guarantees of an easing of the rules by the Easter holidays.

It comes as the Welsh First Minister announced a potential easing of tourism restrictions in time for Easter, with the Welsh Government reviewing the 'possibility' of allowing self-contained accommodation to reopen in six weeks.

Could Scottish level restrictions set for reform? Professor Jason Leitch comments

The Scottish Government's lockdown levels system could be reformed when the current set of restrictions end, Jason Leitch has said.

Speaking to the Scottish Parliament's Covid-19 committee, Professor Leitch said levels may be redrawn once the current 'stay-at-home' lockdown ends.
