Frank Duff: A Model Of Catholic Laity
Frank Duff, best known as founder of the Legion of Mary in Dublin, Ireland, almost 100 years ago, is now a candidate for sainthood. His life and times, and his tireless strivings to begin the organization for Catholic laity in the 1920s, have borne tremendous fruit: the Legion is now worldwide, with over 3 million strong in membership, and 7 million praying members. Its impact upon the serving arm of the Church is incalculable. Much of Frank Duff's story is told by the Legionaries who knew him and who gave significantly to the start-up of the Legion.
