Course Renovation Update
All work on the Vale and Practice Facilities continue to stay on plan, despite challenging weather. Below are a few updates with pictures:
Practice Facility: Practice Green has been shaped and looks incredible. The size alone will allow us to do so many more things than we were able to do before. There will be multiple levels on the green which will allow for flat putting surfaces. (Picture 1 of Practice Green) Work on our Lower West Side Range is ready to begin. In addition to using this tee next year we will also have a fantastic Short Game Facility. There will be a green with bentgrass, bluegrass and a bunker surrounding it allowing for a number of different shots. This will be a perfect area to go and work on your short game in private. (Picture 2 of green layout) Our Upper Range target greens are coming in very nicely. Our goal is when you are practicing in this short game area your golf ball will react on these greens much like they do on the course. Vale Greens: All nine greens have been stripped. Holes 1,2,6,7,8,9 have been filled with the new greens mix. The next step is to smooth them out, fertilize and seed. Weather condition are very important in this step. (Picture 3 of Vale 1) Holes 3,4 and 5 should be filled with mix by early next week, weather dependent. (Picture 4 of Vale 4) The addition of two short game facilities along with the new putting green will allow members many different options. We will also be able to have more programming for junior golf, lessons, clinics, every day usage, fun events and more.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions. Have a Great Weekend! -Your Echo Valley Team |
