The Third Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that a former medical resident can sue Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The average income for physicians is $294,000, according to Medscape’s 2017 Physician Compensation Report. This marks the seventh year in a row to see physicians’ average annual compensation.
