BY DOUG GRAHAM | Staff writer The Louisiana Supreme Court on Thursday said it would not reconsider its earlier ruling that gave a thumbs-up to the creation of the city of St. George. Hours later, the new city's five-member Board of Alderman met and continued to take the steps necessary to set up St. George's foundation. Despite the court's decision, both sides expect further litigation over the creation of St. George. Read more about Thursday's actions here. In November 2012, a man was found dead in the trunk of his own burned vehicle in Baton Rouge. Police said he had been struck in the head with a hammer, run over with the car and then hit again with the hammer multiple times. Now, a second man has been arrested in the brutal killing.
