Victoria’s cancer sector has the opportunity to provide a structured, comprehensive response to the challenges presented by COVID-19.

The VCCC alliance is partnering with Monash Partners Comprehensive Cancer Consortium (MPCCC) to present a special online Monday Lunch Live to plan and prioritise knowledge, systems and processes required to effectively support patients with cancer.

Dynamic, unified effort to support the cancer workforce to provide best possible cancer care

The interactive forum will be moderated by Professor Grant McArthur, VCCC Executive Director – expertly supported by oncology specialists from across the VCCC and MPCCC.

Throughout Victoria, health professionals are rapidly developing recommendations and processes to ensure best outcomes for patients with cancer during the COVID-19 crisis. The VCCC and MPCCC are working together to table and share these initiatives, to promote implementation of the most efficient response possible.

We believe there is an opportunity for a dynamic, unified taskforce to support the cancer workforce and benefit patients across the whole of Victoria, from Melbourne to outer-metro, regional and rural areas.

The response will coordinate frontline expertise from radiation, medical, surgical oncology, nursing, general practice, palliative care and other disciplines involved in cancer care.

Share and connect with others in the cancer workforce as we work to unify approaches from the public and private sectors across all disciplines, nursing, consumer perspectives, metro and regional Victoria.
