9 April 2020 A message from our Mayor: Logan K. Howlett, JP Hello everyone, A quick message to wish you a happy Easter and an important reminder to stay safely at home this long weekend. The City has closed some of its beach car parks this weekend and we ask that, unless a beach or park is within walking distance of your home, that you don’t drive anywhere to exercise, but perhaps enjoy a quick walk in your own neighbourhood. Remember to practice physical distancing as we continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. I wish you a peaceful weekend with your family. |

Our parks and beaches over Easter We know it's Easter, the weather is warm and the kids are on holidays, but please, this Easter, stay at home for the safety of your community. The City is actively monitoring its beaches and parks to ensure people are not gathering in groups or lingering, are adhering to the physical distancing rules, and are only using the beaches and parks for exercise including a short walk or swim. Only those who can walk to the beach should be using it for exercise. The northern car park at Coogee Beach between Powell Road and Perlinte View, the overflow car park at Poore Grove near Coogee Beach WA Surf Life Saving Club and the car park south of Ngarkal Beach at Port Coogee, adjacent to Dome Café and Marina Services Building are closed for the Easter period.
