Multicultural, Multifaith and Business Leaders Forum | TONIGHT 4 JUNE, 7-8pm
The Victorian Multicultural Commission, in partnership with the Department of Health, will host an open online community forum for multicultural, multifaith and business leaders to discuss the current COVID-19 outbreak, and ways to support community members through this latest outbreak.

Temporary COVID-19 Disaster Payment | Australians who have had their hours of work and income significantly affected due to state lockdowns, may be eligible for a temporary COVID Disaster Payment from the Federal Government.
Eligible recipients will receive up to $500 per week for losing 20 hours or more of work, and $325 per week for losing under 20 hours. They must not have liquid assets of more than $10,000. This support will be available for Australian citizens and permanent residents and eligible working visa holders. Individuals who are already receiving income support payments, business support payments, or the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment will not be eligible for this new payment.
To qualify, people will need to have exhausted any leave entitlements (other than annual leave) or other special pandemic leave.
The payment will complement existing payments including the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment.
Access to Services Australia Disaster Assistance will be open to the public from Tuesday at www.servicesaustralia.gov.au or over the phone on 180 22 66. |
Mandatory Use of The Victorian Government QR Code Service | Will businesses be fined if they are not operating the QR code check-in system? YES, if businesses that are mandated to utilise electronic record-keeping, are not operating the Victorian Government approved QR Code check-in system, Authorised Officers from the Victorian Government will issue an on-the-spot $1,652 fine. In using the QR Code system, businesses will need to make sure the QR code is visible and accessible, and do everything possible to ensure people are checking in â for example, point the customer to the QR code and ask them to check in. Circuit Breaker Business Support Package | Is your Business impacted by the State Governmentâs COVID-19 Circuit Breaker restrictions? You may be eligible for a cash payment.
Business Costs Assistance Program The program provides grants of up to $5,000 for eligible businesses most impacted by the state government lockdown. This includes businesses operating in an industry that cannot operate under the circuit breaker restrictions and which cannot work remotely. Applications are open until 24 June 2021. Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund 2021 This program provides eligible businesses holding a current liquor licence and food certificate with a grant of up to $7,000 per premises. Applications are open until 24 June 2021.

COVID-19 Business Requirements | Make sure youâre adhering to the current COVID-19 restrictions - All businesses must have an active, up-to-date COVIDSafe Plan.
- Keep accurate records and ensure your staff and visitors register their details for contact tracing.
- Electronic record keeping is required for many venues to access the higher density limit of 1 person per 2sqm. The Victorian Government QR Code Service is easy to use and free.
- Download and display signage to remind people of the need to check in, and other safety measures.
- If you or your workers have even mild COVID-19 symptoms, please get tested.
