It’s official: COVID-19 public health emergency to end on May 11

As promised, the White House is giving ample notice—the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) will end on May 11. In a statement January 30, the White House said it would end the PHE, which has allowed hospitals and other providers a number of compliance and other waivers to help ease the burden on healthcare.

Authorities: Florida nursing schools sold fraudulent diplomas

A federal grand jury has indicted 25 people in connection with a wire fraud scheme that sold more than 7,600 fraudulent nursing degree diplomas at three now closed nursing school. They each face up to 20 years in prison.

An MSP’s role in optimizing revenue

MSPs can add value to their organizations by streamlining and unifying the credentialing and provider enrollment processes, leading to greater efficiencies and increased revenue, according to Lisa Velasco, MSM, LPTA, CPMSM, CPCS, director of professional services at The Hardenbergh Group in Livonia, Michigan.

MSPs earning more despite continued workplace challenges

In a bit of positive news, it appears that MSP compensation is on an upward swing. The number of MSPs making more than $100,000 has increased over the past year, according to the 2022 MSP Salary Survey. In the tail end of 2022, 25.8% of respondents reported earning more than $100,000, compared to 22.3% in 2021.
