This week, I reach out to you with a special note of thanks and continued hope that you are well. The overwhelming outpouring of support we have received at MD Anderson Cancer Center in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been tremendous. In recent weeks, numerous individuals and corporations have contacted us with donations for personal protective equipment to help ensure the safety of our patients and clinical workers. These contributions have been critical to our efforts to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on our patients and employees and in our community. Last week, many of you gave generously to our Patient Assistance Program and Caring Fund to support our patients and employees affected by the unique challenges of COVID-19. On behalf of our entire team at MD Anderson, I thank you. We are still accepting donations to these vital programs. Please watch a recent COVID-19 video update from MD Anderson President Peter WT Pisters, M.D. You can also get the latest updates at mdanderson.org/coronavirus. I hope you find the additional COVID-19 resources below helpful as we work together to slow the spread of this virus. By practicing social distancing, staying home and encouraging others to do the same, we protect ourselves and those most vulnerable to the virus, including our patients. As always, MD Anderson remains focused on our mission to end cancer. Take care of yourself, and together, we will emerge stronger and more committed than ever to Making Cancer History®.
| Sincerely, Darrow Zeidenstein, Ph.D. Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer |
