Friday and Saturday are shaping up to be two of the nicest days of the spring so far, with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s and 70s for most of Minnesota. A bit cooler near Lake Superior.

The forecast for Mother's Day on Sunday is calling for a chance of rain, but after that, MPR meteorologist Sven Sundgaard says the region is still on track for a big warm-up. "And then we're still trekking upward with those temperatures — 80s by Monday."
