| New ‘Truly CA’ Films Amplify Youth Voices About Recent Natural Disasters | | |
| | KQED’s Truly CA is a showcase of independent documentaries about life in the Golden State. In January, the series will feature two short films on how recent California disasters have made an impact on local teens.
In the first short film, Last Days at Paradise High, we follow the aftermath of the Paradise fire and the effect it has on the now displaced youth. The second short film, The Titan Rises, focuses on Oakland’s Skyline High School football team as they try to navigate through the pandemic.
Last Days at Paradise High airs on January 14 and The Titan Rises on January 21, both at 8pm on KQED 9. You can also stream the films on their premiere dates on the PBS Video App or on the KQED Arts YouTube channel. | | |
