A federal judge has ordered a Christian music promoter to pay back nearly $1.6 million in investor funds he promised would be used to put on Christian music festivals but instead used to pay down debt.
As churches across the country change their plans for Easter Sunday in response to coronavirus concerns, one congregation in Texas will be taking their Easter Egg hunt to the digital world.
Pastors are suing a Texas county judge over a stay-at-home order that they believe violates their religious freedom right to continue holding church services. Meanwhile, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott clarified that churches can open during the coronavirus pandemic as “essential services.”
Days after he was arrested for leading two large worship services in violation of public health emergency rules amid the coronavirus pandemic, Florida megachurch pastor Rodney Howard-Browne said he's decided to shutter his church even though Gov. Ron DeSantis declared Wednesday that attending church is an essential activity.
It is extraordinary that so many churches are supposedly running for help, deeming the situation “urgent” so early on. It makes me wonder if this program is a Golden Calf form of idolatry.
But if and when this sad and lamentable state of affairs does eventuate in some of our hospitals, American culture is not at all prepared to react in as Christian way as we would have earlier in our history

"As I mail off my 3rd payment to you, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for what you're doing for me. When I contacted your agency (after the Lord led me to you!) I was in a constant state of financial anxiety and panic. With your help, that weight has been lifted, yet I still feel like I'm being responsible for my debts. Thank you! Thank you for helping me get to this point. I actually see hope for my family's financial future."- Mechele B. Washington D.C.

"Being in debt is not only stressful, it's also a major headache that aspirin cannot cure. As you well know, it takes some long hard months to complete your program, but I finally did it with the help and patience of you and your staff. I wanted to thank you for helping me out of debt and into freedom! I will recommend our agency to anyone who needs it. Thanks again, form the bottom of my heart."- Cassandra N. Chicago, IL
