Lighthouse Fellowship Church and Pastor Kevin Wilson sued Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam over the legality of executive orders that restricted in-person worship during the pandemic lockdowns.

A candle factory worker was trapped under broken debris at the Mayfield Consumer Products' candle factory last weekend following a tornado that devastated the Kentucky city. While his wife and children hid in a bathtub and closet, Mark Saxton called his wife, and they prayed together. Saxton's wife, Courtney, said of the ordeal, "I just kept talking to him, kept telling him that God will work it out, be strong, don’t give up, keep fighting." Her husband was rescued several hours later with only minor cuts and bruises.
First United Methodist Church of Boise, Idaho, recently replaced a stained glass window that featured Confederate General Robert E. Lee with one that showcases Bishop Leontine Turpeau Current Kelly, the first African-American woman bishop of the United Methodist Church. Rev. Charlie Jacobs writes about her daughter's fall into transgenderism and how social media, peer pressure, grooming, and the worlds of anime and cosplay played major roles in her daughter's gender dysphoria. Jacobs cautions, "My daughter’s story is no longer novel. Stories like it are occurring in your state, your town, and perhaps even on your street. Gender dysphoria — the incongruence between the mind and the body — moves stealthily and quickly to invade girls and boys alike. But this isn’t a cautionary tale. It’s a warning." "Wherever we reach, from the smallest particle to the largest galaxy, from the alpha to the omega, in the room where we are reading these very words to the great natural world outside, we will find, if we seek, the fingerprints of an intelligent designer.

Generations of brilliant men and women from the dawn of time have been led on this quest by the intimations of God in the details. The deep mysteries of life, of emotions, of love and death - all, perhaps, can be studied and broken down into smaller and smaller components by the scientific method, but in the process, the inklings of a creative force should always surprise us with awe and wonder.

Reflections on the Existence of God is a series of short essays seeking to answer life’s most enduring question: Does God exist? This book lays out, in short essays, much of the evidence for the existence of God that is available. We should seek to take the evidence offered and use it to make reasonable conclusions. What you will find is, as the evidence accumulates, it enables us to come to confident conclusions about God. Who He is. And, that He truly is." - Richard E. Simmons III

"In the end, it is important to know whether God exists or He does not exist. There is no third option. What I am seeking to do in this book is to determine which of these beliefs is true and which one is not."

What Critics & Readers Are Saying

"After reading chapter 1, I was hooked. I’m not finished with it yet, but I love it. So much to ponder! So much wisdom from the author's own thoughts and study over the last 30 years. This book will definitely help adjust anyone’s moral compass if you let it and really want the truth."
—J.M. Crowley, USA

"Powerful! Excellent book, compelling and indisputable evidence of God’s existence. Well researched and documented compilation of historical figures who found the truth of Jesus!"
—S. STEVENS, USA

"Carefully researched with suitable anecdotes of people who have encountered God in a personal way. The author takes a variety of topics often used by skeptics to deny faith. He presents robust answers to the arguments given and presents a strong, water tight case for the reality of the Christian faith in the 21st century. An excellent read."
—K. BLACKWELL, United Kingdom

“This is one of the most comprehensive and straightforward books on Christian apologetics I have ever read.”
—HILARY, United Kingdom

Far and away the best book of more than 40 that I read in 2020! The essays are stand-alone, offering great flexibility for those with busy schedules and young families who find it difficult sometimes to commit to a full book on a topic. Simmons’ website, podcasts and emails also are highly recommended.
