CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis has just published the results from its analysis of the election manifestos of 10 Dutch political parties: âCharted Choices 2022â2025â (Keuzes in Kaart 2022-2025). The analysis provides an overview of the budgetary and economic consequences of the policy choices made by these parties. CPB Director Pieter Hasekamp: âSome major shifts can be seen. A number of parties are opting for radical system reform, often aimed at transforming the allowances/subsidies schemes. Almost all parties increase government spending and give a boost to the economy. In addition, we found them all to increase the financial burden for businesses, and most of them are transferring the financial burden to future generations.â |
