During his keynote address at the Web Summit 2021 in Lisbon, Portugal, Apple’s senior vice president Craig Federighi vehemently criticized legislation that could force the company to allow sideloading of apps on iPhones. 
According to a supply chain report, Apple was planning to bring OLED display technology to MacBooks in 2025 but this has now been delayed as the company is struggling to contain costs and mitigate problems associated with incorporating the relatively complicated display technology in a laptop. 
The global chip shortage notwithstanding, notebook PCs had yet another great quarter with 8 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth. Demand for premium products and consumer spending also recorded an increase thanks to discounts on the MacBook Air and gaming-centric notebooks.

Netflix is taking on Apple Arcade and is entering the world of mobile gaming with five titles: ‘Stranger Things: 1984,’ ‘Stranger Things 3: The Game,’ ‘Shooting Hoops,’ ‘Card Blast,’ and ‘Teeter Up.’ Dubbed Netflix Games, the mobile gaming service is first launching on Android, with support for iOS “on the way.”
