In an effort to provide continued support to local artists and share their talents with the community, Richland Library is accepting applications for our next artist-in-residence in fall 2020, starting Saturday, August 1.

New Live-Work Spaces Coming to the Vista

Local architect and long-time Vista investor Scott Garvin is transforming the buildings at 1209 and 1211 Gadsden Street into new a live-work complex called Gadsden Place. The longtime home of Columbia auto parts distributor BW Clark, 1209 and 1211 Gadsden Street are distinctive Italianate buildings within Columbia’s West Gervais Commercial Historic District.

SCDA Seeks Peanut Inspectors

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Agriculture plans to hire 125 peanut grading inspectors in the coming weeks. Jobs are available in the communities of Alcolu, Bowman, Cameron, Dalzell, Darlington, Fairfax, Hartsville, Hemingway, Kingstree, Mullins and Nichols.
