Forward Forward

1. At the end of the day, we are a nation of creators.

2. We think of the creator class - the people who actually build stuff- as opposed to the creative class, which operates in the world of ideas and abstraction. The waters are muddied, we will concede.

3. The non-creators have been very noisy lately. But it's just noise in the end.

4. The noisemaker class is always going to undermine the creator class. It gives them something to do.

5.Jefferson, Wahington, MLK, Churchill, Theodore Roosevelt, were all creators. So of course the noisemakers found them problematic.

6. A nation of creators operating as a nation of laws. Something the noisemakers can't get their tiny heads around. THAT is where the big schism lies.

7. A great mission for educators: To enable the next generation of creators.

8. Richard Florida used to write about "The Creative Class" being the future. I prefer the idea of "The Creator Class"... i.e. people who build useful stuff, sexy or unsexy, inside or outside hipster neighborhoods.

9. Institutions: Government, education, media, etc. How do YOU empower the creators? If you can't answer that question, why do you exist? Seriously, why even bother? :D

10. We are either teaching our children to be creators... or we're throwing them off a cliff.

11. We are the creators. We are the future.

12. And Thank God Almighty for that.

“Culture” is having its moment, and it couldn’t come sooner. People are asking

“How do we maintain culture at distance?”, “What do we do about Diversity and Inclusion post-George Floyd?” and it continues on with concerns about layoffs, safety, politics, and health. There are answers. What we all need are relevant and sustainable strategies and tools to implement and grow our cultures.

We are looking to bring together CEOs and leaders of organizations that are focused on culture and engagement.

If you are a senior leader interested in joining a new group we are organizing to share insights, practices, and leadership culture hacks, please email us here.
