The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant challenges and uncertainties to everyone's lives, especially exposing the inequities in our education system. Art in Action has held virtual brainstorming sessions with teachers to find out what additional support is needed - teacher training for online art lessons, student-facing videos, and pre-recorded art instruction. The feedback is providing valuable insight and will guide Art in Action in how we structure and deliver visual arts education for schools this fall and beyond.
While we have had to change the way Art in Action works, we remain committed to ensuring that all children, no matter their socio-economic circumstances, have a positive outlet to create and express themselves during these unsettling times. Your support will allow us to meet these challenges.
Tomorrow, May 5th, is #GivingTuesdayNOW, and we ask you to help us by donating. Any amount you can contribute will substantially impact the children we continue to serve now and in the future.
Please help us spread the word about #GivingTuesdayNOWand Art in Actionby sharing this email with friends and family and by posting on social media. We appreciate your support, which remains a critical element in Art in Action's success.
With gratitude and appreciation, Mary Carbullido and the Art in Action team
