Letter from the Editor
For many years pediatricians and other health care experts have been encouraging new moms to breastfeed their newborns. They talk about the decreased gastric problems, as well as increased immunity, and the bonding between mother and child. All of these reasons are focused on the child, but what about the mother? For many of these women who work and have busy lives, breastfeeding is an extra effort they may not want to make.
Now our intern, Deonna Andrews, PharmD Candidate 2020 FAMU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, has a great feature on why moms have their own healthy benefit to breastfeeding.
