You'll come out of the workshop with the building blocks of your own completed crisis communications plan.

Ragan's Crisis Communications Master Class

It’s not a question of if you’ll face a crisis, but when.

Join your internal and external communications peers for this one-of-a-kind workshop on this Thursday, March 5 in New York City. Nick Lanyi will show you how to develop a comprehensive and proactive crisis communications plan, build a framework for dealing with active crises and address the crucial step of reputation restoration.

Special Session Added: Managing the Coronavirus Crisis

The rapidly accelerating coronavirus pandemic has raised health concerns across the country, rattled the financial markets and forced organizations to craft response plans on the fly. Your team needs to communicate clearly about the pandemic to both internal and external audiences. Your workshop leader, Nick Lanyi, will explain how smart organizations communicate about public health crises and help you navigate through the particular challenges your organization may face in the coming weeks and months.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Recover from the crisis and restore audience trust
  • Manage the media and the message
  • Confront a crisis in real time
  • Thrive in the midst of a crisis and minimize damage
  • Assign crisis roles to your team members—including two important yet often overlooked roles
  • Handle media requests efficiently and train spokespeople for high-stakes interviews
  • Develop thoughtful crisis messaging quickly
  • Respond to the fast-moving crisis as it unfolds
  • Collaborate with team members on strategy and messaging
  • Think beyond the short term to lay groundwork for all stages, including the recovery stage
