About the Author

Todd Meyerhoefer, MD, MBA, CPE, FACS, is vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer of Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. He previously served as senior vice president of physician alignment for Akron (Ohio) General Health System and as president of the health system’s Partners Physician Group. An experienced physician executive, Meyerhoefer has held various medical staff leadership positions, such as trauma committee chair, bylaws committee chair, and membership on peer review, credentials, and utilization review committees.
