Critics are questioning who would benefit the most from a new LSU arena

Baton Rouge leaders have tried to make downtown the key destination for more than two decades. But city-parish officials are now being asked to sign off on a proposal spearheaded by LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation that would build a new Baton Rouge arena to host large sports events, concerts and more. 

There's a catch in TAF's pitch, though: The River Center River Center could no longer host events with more than 3,500 attendees. Read more about the potential arena.
