Dear Voornaam,
Welcome to your weekly Cancer Research UK Research Update email.
We have a call this week to take part in our cancer inequalities survey and help shape our strategy in this area. If you are thinking about where to go next to translate your research, there’s an online information session to learn more about Venture Builder Incubator, an upcoming entrepreneurial programme that we’ve partnered on with the University of Edinburgh. And looking ahead to this autumn’s committee and panel meeting, we’ve gathered links to our upcoming funding deadlines in September and October, which I hope you will find useful.
I do hope you are all well and looking forward to some time off over the summer.
Kind regards Iain

RENEWED PARTNERSHIP TO CREATE VENTURES IN ONCOLOGY We’re expanding our alliance with Deep Science Ventures to generate more cutting-edge ventures across oncology.
This builds on our previous successful partnership which led to the formation of 3 new cancer therapeutics companies: Enedra Therapeutics, Stratosvir, and Neobe Therapeutics.
One of the new ventures will focus on deep reprofiling of the immune system within new specific immunotherapy-resistant contexts, whilst another, supported by the Children’s Tumor Foundation, will identify opportunities to create ventures and new approaches in neurofibromatosis. |
