VR investors launch Virtual Reality Venture Capital Alliance HTC Vive announced the launch of the Virtual Reality Venture Capital Alliance, a group of 30 investors with up to $10 billion in deployable capital. The alliance is currently accepting pitches. Members will meet six times a year in Beijing and San Francisco. Kleiner Perkins raises $1.4B for two new funds Silicon Valley venture pioneer Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has raised $1.4 billion for two new funds, a $1 billion growth fund and a $400 million general fund, according to securities filings. Longtime partner John Doerr was not listed as an investor for the new funds. Care.com said it has raised $46 million in new investment from Google Capital, the growth fund financed by Alphabet Inc. The deal marked Google Capital’s first ever investment in a public company.
