Jose Vega immigrated from El Salvador to San Francisco in the mid-70s, leaving behind his country and culture. He soon discovered that the Mission district felt closest to the home he grew up in and now with his Salvadoran food business, Izalco Catering, Jose brings his culture to others at the Mission Community Market in the form of a pupusa.

Thursdays | Tacolicious's Summer Guest Chef Taco Series continues! Visit the T-lish stand on Thursdays to taste some of the finest tacos around, made by the Bay Area's hottest chefs. Next week will feature a taco with Miso sweet potatoes and Japanese chimichurri by Adam Tortosa of Robin. Proceeds from the tacos benefit CUESA's Schoolyard to Market program.
