FEATURE
Remembering Nigel Walker
Last Saturday, we lost an important member of our community, Nigel Walker of Eatwell Farm. He passed away following a relapse from a five-year battle with multiple myeloma, a form of cancer. He was 56.

Nigel was one of the founding farmers of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, establishing his farm in 1993, the same year the market started. Eatwell Farm has been a literal cornerstone of our community ever since, occupying the same corner stall in the back plaza since 2003. We are deeply saddened by Nigel's passing and so grateful that we had the privilege to work alongside him and learn from him all of these years.

Tomorrow, July 10 (8 am-2 pm), CUESA will be hosting a small memorial altar for Nigel at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market Info Booth. Please stop by to leave cards and share your messages for the family. There will be a small private memorial service this Sunday, and Eatwell will be planning a larger public memorial next summer.
