CUESA's Sunday Supper Raises Funds for Healthy Communities and North Bay Fire Relief Efforts
Last Sunday, farmers, chefs, and food lovers came together at CUESA's Sunday Supper: A Farm to City Feast to raise more than $300,000 to support healthy communities, sustainable agriculture, and Bay Area youth. In addition, CUESA raised $23,500 to support the Redwood Empire Food Bank's North Bay fire relief efforts.

NORTH BAY FIRE RELIEF
Visit These Farmers Market Stands to Support Fire Relief Efforts
A number of our farmers market sellers have been contributing to North Bay fire relief efforts, donating produce or preparing meals for people in need. Visit The Farmer's Wife on Saturdays and Thursdays to support a family in our market who was directly impacted by the fires, as well as these stands, who will be donating a portion of their market proceeds to fire relief efforts. In addition, SF Fights Fire will be at the CUESA Classroom tomorrow to share ways to help.
NEW VENDOR
New on Saturdays in SF:
Oyna Natural Foods
Join us in welcoming Oyna Natural Foods, bringing Persian-style frittatas, known as kukus, to the Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market! Oyna's gluten- and dairy-free kukus contain less egg than frittatas, and have over 70% herbs and vegetables, bound with organic eggs and garbanzo flour and baked with olive oil. Find them in the south driveway tomorrow.

Thursday, November 9 | Co-hosted by CUESA and the Food and Environment Reporting Network (FERN), "The Empty Plate" will explore the state of food insecurity under the current administration and what individuals, activists, and communities are doing to address it.
PARTNER EVENT
Beers, Bites & Bounty at the Ferry Building
Thursday, October 26 | Sirwisa Brewing Collective is hosting an evening of food and beer at the Ferry Building to showcase the results of connecting homebrewers, commercial breweries, and local chefs/restaurants with local farmers. Proceeds support CUESA's work to cultivate a healthy food system
SEASONAL RECIPE
Fresh Apple Chutney
This rich, fruity, and decadent condiment is a delicious way to celebrate the fall harvest. Karen Solomon, author of Jam It, Pickle It, Cure It, recommends serving it next to your Indian curry, atop rice and scrambled eggs, or paired in a sandwich with mild, milky cheese.
