We are looking forward to welcoming Katie Sollohub back to ABtS for a summer installment of Sketchbooks by the Sea on 25th & 26th of July.

Let Katie gently guide you as you fill a sketchbook over two days, working directly on the beach, using ink, pastels, mixed media and collage.

Be inspired by the sea and salt air, the wheeling gulls, the heaving waves, and the shifting shore, and let your creativity loose along the length of your own concertina sketchbook (provided). Immerse yourself in this experimental approach, letting it unfold, going with the flow, and observing the accidental.

The comfort of our beachside gallery and studio is just a stone's throw away, the perfect place to enjoy some refreshments as you take a pause from the elements.

Sketchbooks and general drawing equipment are provided, but add your own preferred media, collage materials, and equipment if you have something specific in mind.

There are also dates in September if July doesn't suit.

HOT STUFF - You're invited!

We're getting very excited for our third summer epic - OPEN AT ATELIER - which opens to the public on Friday 19th July.

As a friend of the gallery, you're invited to join us for a first look at 6pm on Thursday 18th. Enjoy a glass of fizz and take in the 280 artworks by our 180 exhibiting artists. Expect a huge array of work in all sorts of mediums and scales, and stake your claim to your favourite before someone else does!
