A new back-to-school essential: an app?
Happy Tuesday, Baltimore. For those of you who are parents of school-aged children in Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPS), the district's using tech to keep you plugged in.
BCPS recently announced that it will launch
a new app aimed at helping parents (like myself) track their child's progress and stay connected with their school. The app, part of the district's transparency efforts, will provide updates on student progress, transportation, meals, attendance and more. With the convenience of accessing grades in real-time, parents can anticipate the app's release by the end of July, ensuring it will be available before the start of the school year.
