PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT Food Network host Bobby Flay and his daughter Sophie hit the streets in search of the greatest local dishes around in new Food Network series The Flay List, premiering Thursday, April 11 at 10:30p. Broadway producer Scott Delman and Lionsgate are teaming to develop a theatrical production of ABC-then-CMT country music drama Nashville. Delman, who acquired theatrical rights from Lionsgate and ABC Studios, will serve lead producer of the musical. Vancouver will be home to 10 drama pilots this season, up from 6 last year and more than any other city, reports Deadline. The overall number of broadcast drama pilots is 35, down from 41 in 2018. Entertainment company Boat Rocker Media has made an investment in talent management and production company Untitled Entertainment. Snapchat and Universal Pictures have teamed for a campaign for Illumination Entertainment’s The Secret Life of Pets 2. HBO’s Leaving Neverland delivered 1.3 million viewers on Sunday night, making it the third-most-watched documentary premiere on the network in ten years. Across on-demand and digital platforms, the number rises to 1.7 million viewers. For the week ending February 24, ratings for most syndicated shows were clipped by preemptions for the announcement of felony criminal charges against Empire star Jussie Smollett. Not all shows were hurt, however - Ellen DeGeneres (2.4 Live+SD, up 9% from the week before) moved into second place behind leader Dr. Phil (3.2, down 3%). Live with Kelly and Ryan held steady with 2.3. And Steve Harvey’s Steve was steady with a season high 1.4, up 56% from last year.
