FACEBOOK PRESENTS: SHOWCASE

It’s the only way to buy premium inventory upfront, at a fixed cost, through a managed service. Showcase campaigns align to how you do business: they’re bought on an insertion order and guaranteed against Nielsen demographics.

Take a minute to hear from Facebook's Director of North America Agency, Erik Geisler, about how (and why) they rolled out Facebook Showcase:

PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT

TruTV ordered a 13-episode, sophomore season of Tacoma FD, the scripted firehouse comedy series from co-creators Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme of the Super Troopers movie franchise. The show launched as the top new cable comedy among young adults when it debuted earlier this year, and finished among cable’s top 5 scripted comedies. Pre-production begins later this year for a slated release in 2020.

Also being upped by TruTV is I’m Sorry, which received a 10-episode third season order. From creator and star Andrea Savage (Veep), scripted comedy follows Andrea (Savage), a confident comedy writer, wife and mother, who exposes her immaturity and neuroses through unexpected life situations. New season is set to debut in 2020.

Netflix renewed Queer Eye for a fourth and fifth season. The series will begin airing new episodes on Friday, July 19, when Season 4 debuts.

Nest Seekers International and DIGA Studios teamed to develop unscripted formats for television and digital distribution about the real estate industry. RATINGS

The James Holzhauer era may have come to an end, but a 9.0 single-day rating June 3 for the phenom contestant’s shocking finale gave Jeopardy! (full week 6.8 average Live+SD national Nielsen rating, down 14% from the week before) enough of a boost to finish first among game shows for the 10th week in a row. Family Feud (6.1, steady) took second place, while Wheel of Fortune (5.7, down 3%) and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (1.5, unchanged) followed.

Holding its own, despite being partially in reruns, was May sweep champion Judge Judy (6.5, steady) to rank as syndication’s highest rated show of the season.
