Most of the top syndicated shows headed south in the session ending June 17, after preemptions by coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the U.S. Open Gold Championship. Still, Dr. Phil (2.7 Live+SD national Nielsen Rating, down 10% from the week before) grew 4% from last year and outperformed the talk shows for the 93rd week in row, despite being in reruns. The race for second place ended in a tie between Live with Kelly and Ryan (2.0, down 5%), which was moved by World Cup coverage into many post-midnight time slots and Ellen DeGeneres (2.0, up 5%).
Some newcomers finding rough going were Daily Mail TV (0.9, down 10%) and Page Six TV (0.6, down 14 %).
