Hallmark Channel’s annual “Summer Nights” programming stunt kicked off on Saturday night with the premiere of Love on Safari, which marked the most-watched and highest rated cable program of the day and week among Households, excluding news and sports. The project averaged a 2.5 Household rating, 2.6 million Total Viewers an 376,000 W25-54.
Univision Network aired three hours of premieres Sunday night, driving the network into first place among Spanish-language broadcasters. Some 4.8 million Total Viewers 2+ tuned in to all or park of the three-hour block.
FOX Business Network marked its 14th consecutive month as the leader in business news, according to Nielsen Media Research.
In a week where almost every daytime program in first-run syndication was down due in part to preemptions for coverage of the Helsinki summit and its aftermath, the top three court shows surged to recent highs in the session ending July 22. Despite being in reruns, Judge Judy (four-week high 6.3 Live+SD national rating, up 2% from the week before tied access game show champ Family Feud as syndication’s number one program overall. Hot Bench (five-week high 2.1, up 11%) was mostly in repeats, but ranked as the third highest show in daytime. People’s Court (1.4, up 8%) rose to a four-week high.

Erin McCallion was appointed Vice President for US Marketing at Outbrain. She joins from Mediaocean, where she served as Vice President of Global Marketing.
