ABC is teaming with former Vampire Diaries showrunner Caroline Dries to adapt Black Widow, a drama based on Scandinavian series Black Widows centered on three women who form an unlikely bond when a tragic boat accident results in the deaths of their significant others.
 
Former Nashville EPs Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin landed a put pilot commitment from FOX for a primetime soap. The untitled project, written by the pair, centers on a couple, who after 20 years of marriage, decide to reignite their passion and strengthen their family by starting over in Hawaii.
 
Dynamic Television is developing Cipher for NBC. Drama centers on secret intelligence agency which enlists the help of a dysfunctional ex-con to stop an imminent global threat.
 
BBC Worldwide inked a development deal for Anna & Froga. The animated kids’ series is adapted from the books of French author Anouk Ricard.

CBS is moving forward with crime drama Recall. Pilot is being written by Craig Sweeny and directed by Marc Webb (Limitless).
 
Red Arrow Entertainment Group closed a commercial and creative partnership with 10Fold, a US production company, focused on non-scripted and scripted content. The pact includes a future option for Red Arrow to acquire a majority equity position in 10Fold.
 
 
NEW & RETURNING SERIES
 
NBC’s Chicago Med returns for season 3 on Tuesday, November 21 at 10p. The series, which aired on Thursdays its last go-round, is taking over the slot currently held by Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders.
 
Street Science is back for its sophomore season Wednesday, November 15 at 10p on Science Channel. The Kevin Delaney series brings experiments out of the lab and onto the streets.
 
Discovery’s Homestead Rescue returns Wednesday, November 8 at 9p. New season is preceded by a special episode featuring never-before-seen footage at 8p.
 
Damnation bows Tuesday, November 7 on USA. Drama focuses on the struggle of people fighting for what they believe to be right in a Depression-era Iowa town.
 
Univision premieres Caer en Tentacion on Monday, October 16 at 10p. The contemporary thriller tells the story of two couples whose marriages take a twisted turn.

RATINGS
 
Dr. Phil (3.4 Live+SD national Nielsen rating, up 3% from the week before) posted its strongest numbers since the week of May 1. Ellen DeGeneres (2.2, unchanged) placed second, followed by Live with Kelly and Ryan (2.1, unchanged).  
 
Daily Mail TV (1.0, up 11%), which premiered the week before as the highest rated new magazine in a decade, improved by double-digits and easily led all new first-run shows among households in week two. Page Six TV (0.7, steady) surged 25% among W25-54 to a 0.5 and tied rival Daily Mail in the key demo for the first time. It also clocked new series highs in nine of the top ten market for the session ending October 8 and edged Daily Mail in both ratings (0.8/2 to 0.7/2) and key demos (0.5/3 to 0.4/2) for its primary metered market runs.
 
The return of Velocity’s Wheeler Dealers and Bitchin’ Rides jump started the network’s fall programming slate with record ratings last week. The 14th season premiere of Wheeler Dealers became the series most watched season launch ever among HHs, M18+, M25-54, M18-49, P2+ and P25-54 with the episode being watched by more than 613,000 P2+. Bitchin’ Rides first episode was 14th in its timeslot on ad-supported cable for M25-54 and M18+.
 
Hallmark Channel’s premiere of All of My Heart: Inn Love ranked as its highest rated program for the week on cable, with the exception of sports and news. The original movie averaged 2.6 HH rating and 2.8 million Total Viewers.
 
In preliminary Live+SD ratings, The CW’s Supergirl returned with 1.86 million viewers, 0.4/2 in A18-34 and 0.5/2 in A18-49. Valor debuted with 1.2 million viewers, 0.2/1 in A18-34 and 0.3/1 among A18-49.
