RATINGS

The premiere of the new season Telemundo’s superseries El Senor de los Cielos ranked as the top primetime program on Spanish-language television among A18-49 and A18-34, according to Nielsen.

In syndication, up against a torrent of televised impeachment-related announcements, many daytime shows got socked with heavy preemptions and struggled against the atypically strong competition in the session ending September 29. Even stronghold Judge Judy (6.0 live plus same day national Nielsen, down 8% from the week before) and Hot Bench (1.8, down 14%) were not immune.

Among the freshman talkers The Kelly Clarkson Show (1.2, down 14%) remained the No. 1 new show overall in syndication. Tamron Hall (0.9, steady) stood fast despite multiple breaking news preemptions and tripled the rating of rookie talk rival Mel Robbins (0.3, down 25%). In the courtroom, Jerry Springer’s Judge Jerry (1.0, steady) out-rated the other two frosh court shows combined: Personal Injury Court (0.5, up 25%) and Protection Court (0.3, unchanged).

UniMás delivered double-digit week-over-week audience growth during Monday through Friday primetime among total ziewers (+26% to 363,000), A18-49 (+20% to 176,000) and A18-34 (+33% to 80,000), marking the third consecutive week of audience growth.
