Susan M. Swain is joining Discovery Communications’ Board of Directors, effective December 2016. Swain is co-CEO of C-SPAN.

CNN hired Leyla Santiago as a correspondent based in Mexico City. She was previously an anchor and reporter for WRAL in Raleigh, NC.

Rachel Webber was named Executive Vice President of Digital Product, leading the Digital business across National Geographic Partners. Shepreviouslyserved as Senior Vice President, Fox Television Group. In addition, Jill Cress joins as Chief Marketing Officer of National Geographic Partners. She had been Executive Vice President of Global Consumer Marketing at MasterCard.

KCETLink Media Group upped Juan Devis, the Senior Vice President of Content Development and Production, to Chief Creative Officer. Devis has been with KCET for nearly a decade.

A+E Networks UK appointed Mark Neil as Vice President of Finance.He joins from Scripps Networks Interactive where he was Chief Financial Officer, UK and EMEA.

Clkim named Ran Poliakine as Chairman of the Board. He was previously CEO of Powermat Technologies.
 
MISSION upped Michael Abbott to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. He’s served as CFO since 2014. Shawna Hausman, previously Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Marketing at Giggle, was named Executive Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Marketing. Travis Blasingame, who last served as Global Director of Apparel at Easton Baseball/Softball, was appointed Senior Vice President of Innovation & Merchandising.

John Drain was promoted to Chief Financial Officer at Hearst Television.Drain joined Hearst Television in September 2010 as Senior Vice President, Finance.

UK’s Zinc Media appointed Lucy van Beek as Managing Director of its current affairs and historical programming subsidiary, Blakeway. Since 2015, van Beek had been working within the Zinc Media group as an Executive Producer for its documentary arm, Brook Lapping.

GRB Entertainment named Marielle Zuccarelli as Chief Operating Officer. Zuccarelli served as president of international for GRB from 2003-2012.

Telemundo extended its multiyear contract with acclaimed Hispanic journalist María Celeste Arraras as host and editorial director of its afternoon news program, Al Rojo Vivo. The contract extension confirms that the network will continue to feature Arraras, one of the most influential figures in Spanish-language television in the United States, among its top talent.

Production company Tool signed director and photographer Danielle Levitt to its live action roster. Levitt has directed and photographed numerous advertising campaigns for blue chip brands, and recently won a 2016 Primetime Commercial Emmy Award for directing the Ad Council and R/GA’s much-acclaimed “Love Has No Labels.”

IRIS.TV, a video personalization company that enables streaming custom programming to individual users across devices, hired Zecca Lehn as a data scientist. Lehn most recently was an independent consultant and quantitative trader.
