Univision Deportes is getting a rebrand, with Univision announcing the evolution of its multi-platform sports brand and cable network into ‘TUDN. Under the TUDN brand, “Univision will continue to deliver more live soccer than any other U.S. media company while offering a richer and more engaging experience through new world-class programming, all-star talent and enhanced production capabilities,” according to the announcement, debuting this summer and debuting in Mexico simultaneously as part of a collaboration between the sports divisions of Univision and Grupo Televisa.
 
“Univision has long been the industry leader in high-quality live soccer, and this collaboration represents another major step forward,” said Univision Chief Executive Officer Vince Sadusky. “Simply put, we are delivering on our viewers’ passion for soccer by giving them more of the content they love through an enhanced television and digital experience.”
 
With the launch of TUDN, Univision will introduce a suite of additional live soccer offerings later this year: TUDNxtra and Zona Futbol in addition to introducing new content and talent.
 
 
PROGRAMMING

Tennis Channel and the USTA, in conjunction with the NCAA, locked in a three-year partnership that makes the network the exclusive television home of the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis National Championships. The agreement begins with this year's events, to be held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando from May 16-25. During the championships, Tennis Channel will show more than 50 hours of live matches, with live coverage every day of the 10-day competition.

NBC found its voices for its upcoming coverage of the Premier Lacrosse League. Paul Burmeister hosts with play-by-play voice Brendan Burke, and analyst Ryan Boyle, with the trio becoming NBC Sports’ first-ever commentators for the inaugural season beginning on June 1. Chantel McCabe – anchor and reporter for Golf Central on the Golf Channel – will also serve as a reporter at various times throughout the season.
 
NBCUniversal serves up Championship Sunday this weekend, with all 10 matches presented live simultaneously across NBCUniversal platforms starting at 10a. For the first time since 2013-14, the winner of the Premier League will be decided on Championship Sunday. The lineup sees: Liverpool/Wolverhampton Wanderers on NBC, Universo; Brighton & Hove Albion/Manchester City on NBCSN, Telemundo; Manchester United/Cardiff City on USA; Leicester City/Chelsea on CNBC; Tottenham/Everton on SYFY; Burnley/Arsenal on MSNBC; Watford/West Ham on GOLF; Fulham/Newcastle on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA; Crystal Palace/Bournemouth on NBC Sports Regional Networks; and Southampton/Huddersfield on NBC Sports app & NBC Sports.com.
 
ESPN debuts its coverage of The Professional Fighters League on Thursday with PFL’s 2019 season kickoff highlighted by the debut of the Women’s Lightweight Division. PFL 1 Welterweight and Women’s Lightweight action begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+, then the action continues on ESPN2 and the ESPN App in Spanish at 9p. This season, the PFL will further integrate its SmartCage and Cagenomics technology to the broadcast experience, delivering dynamic, real-time data and analytics on fighter performance.
 
NBC Sports revs up Drive Like Andretti on May 11 at 2p, celebrating the life of Mario Andretti and his first-person account as a refugee, immigrant, cultural icon and racing legend, leading into NTT IndyCar Series coverage of the INDYCAR Grand Prix at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

The initiative will be supported by Nike and based at Barnet and Southgate College, in North London.

OTT service RugbyPass locked in a deal with Major League Rugby to stream global coverage from the org on its digital platforms. RugbyPass now becomes the official digital partner to North America’s premier rugby competition until the end of the 2019 season, offering delayed streaming rights to select games.
 
Karate Combat locked in a partnership with Vewd, the world’s largest Smart TV OTT software provider. The deal will see the company offer Karate Combat’s app and content on Vewd-enabled devices worldwide. “We are excited to bring our action-packed take on karate to the audience Vewd provides us,” said Kim Hurwitz, Chief Marketing Officer of Karate Combat. “Knowing we’re available on the top Smart TV brands’ devices is incredible.”
 
 
ESPORTS

QuakeCon is doubling down, announcing a second QuakeCon running in London and will take place at the same time as the one in Dallas. Revealed on the QuakeCon website, the events will span July 26-27 from the Printworks in London and at the Gaylord Texas Resort & Convention Center, from July 25-28.
