The Pac-12 Conference forged a multi-year partnership with Nike making the apparel company the official athletic apparel partner and athletic footwear partner of the Conference and all Pac-12 championship events, including the Pac-12 Football Championship Game and both the Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments. The multi-year agreement will also see Nike integrated into apparel and footwear across Pac-12 Networks programming with on-air talent and production staff outfitted in Nike gear, as well as on-site Pac-12 staff and volunteers for all Conference championship events. 
 
“We are excited to partner with such an iconic sports brand as Nike,” said Ned Watkins, senior vice president, integrated sponsorships & sales for Pac-12 Networks. “With a season of conference championship events ahead we look forward to integrating Nike’s brand across the Pac-12.”
 
 
ON THE AIR

Week 10 of NFL action saw the NFL on CBS take home the highest-rated contest of the day on Sunday, drawing a 13.7/26 Nielsen rating/share for its afternoon game pitting the Seahawks and Rams. Season to date, the NFL package on CBS is average a 10.6/22 for a rise of 4% over last year.
 
Around the dial, Cowboys/Eagles action on NBC’s Sunday Night Football took primetime with a 13.3/22 overnight (not including digital), up 16% from last year’s Week 10 SNF game. Top markets for Cowboys-Eagles on NBC SNF: Philadelphia 34.8/52; Dallas 29.8/47; San Antonio 23.6/36; Austin 23.2/38; New Orleans 21.1/29.
 
Major League Soccer locked in broadcast information for the conference championships as teams continue to play for the MLS Cup. The conference’s two-game, aggregate-goal series opens on Nov. 25 with the New York Red Bulls/ Atlanta United at 5p on ESPN, with the first leg continuing on FS1 at 7:30p with the Western Conference Championship, featuring Sporting Kansas City/Portland Timbers.  The second leg will take place on Nov. 29, starting at 7p on FS1 with the eastern conference matchup, while ESPN carries the western one at 9:30p.
 
WWE is reporting that WrestleMania 34 generated $175 million in economic impact for the city of New Orleans region this past April, according to a study conducted by the Enigma Research Corporation, marking the seventh consecutive year that WrestleMania generated more than $100 million in economic impact for its host region. A record crowd of 78,133 fans from all 50 states and 67 countries attended WWE’s pop-culture extravaganza this past April, making it the highest-grossing entertainment event in the history of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
 
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver joins panelists Dana Jacobson, Tracy Wolfson, Lisa Leslie and Swin Cash in-studio for a special NBA-themed episode of We Need To Talk tomorrow night at 8p on CBS Sports Network.
 
MSG Networks announced that three-time Olympic Gold medalist Jennifer Botterill is joining the MSG Networks broadcast team this season as a studio analyst for select New York Islanders telecasts. Botterill will team with Shannon Hogan, in her fifth year as Islanders host, for pre-game, intermission and post-game Islanders coverage on MSG+.
 
Barstool Radio on SiriusXM is launching a new line-up today featuring channel staples such as Barstool Radio and Chicks in the Office as well as new daily programs Big If True Radio, Clancy and Carrabis with Kayce Smith and The Shaun Latham Show. The lineup kicks off with Barstool Breakfast with Willie Colon and Francis at 7a.  The channel also includes select content from Barstool’s popular lineup of podcasts.

Raycom-Legacy Content Company is partnering with Hot Wheels to launch Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, a new nationwide tour designed to showcase an immersive experience for Monster Truck fans. This new live entertainment tour will visit arenas and stadiums throughout the U.S. beginning in January 2019.  In addition to the Trucks, each show will feature specialty acts like the superstars of freestyle motocross, world record attempts, and Megasaurus. The first stop of the tour will run from Jan. 5-6 at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, and the tour will travel to more than 20 cities in its inaugural year. Scheduled stops include Cleveland, Memphis, Louisville and Norfolk, VA, among others.
 
 
DIGITAL & STREAMING

IMG opened the doors to IMG Arena, a new data collection system designed to expand the company’s sports betting reach, offering more than 250 bookmakers worldwide with 24/7 live streaming and on-demand virtual sports products. The new venture is being led by SVP and managing director Freddie Longe.
 
Elsewhere in wagering news, DraftKings Inc. announced that it has reached an agreement with Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi to officially open DraftKings at Scarlet Pearl Sportsbook, following receipt of license from the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
 
FloSports inked a deal with Cutting Edge Sports Management Group to offer live and on-demand coverage of their premier college football and all-star events, the Dream Bowl and the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl, exclusively on FloFootball.com. The HBCU-Dream Bowl Weekend will air during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend Jan. 17-21, 2019.
 
Outdoor Sportsman Group has partnered with Africam.com to showcase 24/7 live HD coverage on five different waterhole feeds of the native habitat of African wildlife on OutdoorChannel.com. According to the release, fans can experience live sights and sounds of Africam.com as its virtually transports viewers to the peace and zen of the African wild. Africam.com is based on four main pillars – Awareness, Emotional connection to the animals, Education and Action.
 
 
ESPORTS

HUYA Inc., the livestreaming platform in China, revealed team details for its upcoming Overwatch League franchise. The squad will be known as the Chengdu Hunters, with its logo featuring a giant panda, the symbol of the Chengdu region in the country. Huya is joining forces with Chinese esports club Royal Never Give Up as a consultant on operating the team and the color of the logo contains the main colors of Huya and RNG, representing the joint forces of the two companies.
 
The Game Awards, set for Thursday, Dec. 6 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, will livestream to gamers around the world across a record-setting 40 global video networks, including expanded distribution in China. The Game Awards reached over 18 million viewers in 2017 and brings together game developers, Esports champions, digital influencers and Hollywood names for a night of awards, exclusive new game announcements and musical performances. Platforms that will air The Game Awards live on December 6 will include YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Mixer, Steam TV, PlayStation 4, Xbox Live, IGN, GameSpot, Polygon, MLG, Caffeine.tv, with more to be announced.

Capcom announced that Rob Dyer has joined Capcom U.S.A., Inc. as chief operating officer where he will be charged with running all aspects of the company’s publishing business including sales, marketing and operations in the Americas. Dyer has held various leadership roles with companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment America, Zynga, Eidos Interactive, Crave Entertainment Group and more.

UFC announced the appointment of Nick Smith as Vice President of Global Partnerships. Smith will be responsible for overseeing partnerships for UFC with a focus on establishing strategic relationships with new international partners. Prior to joining UFC, Smith most recently served as the Global Chief Commercial Officer at Bastion Collective, where he first represented the UFC brand.
 
Leading entertainment and lifestyle marketing agency Allied Global Marketing announced that is has launched a new division, Allied Sports.  The new division will look to represent sports media and content properties and will be run by managing director Sean Barror.
