Raycom-Legacy Content Company is partnering with Hot Wheels to launch Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, a new nationwide tour designed to showcase an immersive experience for Monster Truck fans. This new live entertainment tour will visit arenas and stadiums throughout the U.S. beginning in January 2019. In addition to the Trucks, each show will feature specialty acts like the superstars of freestyle motocross, world record attempts, and Megasaurus. The first stop of the tour will run from Jan. 5-6 at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, and the tour will travel to more than 20 cities in its inaugural year. Scheduled stops include Cleveland, Memphis, Louisville and Norfolk, VA, among others.

IMG opened the doors to IMG Arena, a new data collection system designed to expand the company’s sports betting reach, offering more than 250 bookmakers worldwide with 24/7 live streaming and on-demand virtual sports products. The new venture is being led by SVP and managing director Freddie Longe.

FloSports inked a deal with Cutting Edge Sports Management Group to offer live and on-demand coverage of their premier college football and all-star events, the Dream Bowl and the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl, exclusively on FloFootball.com. The HBCU-Dream Bowl Weekend will air during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend Jan. 17-21, 2019.

HUYA Inc., the livestreaming platform in China, revealed team details for its upcoming Overwatch League franchise. The squad will be known as the Chengdu Hunters, with its logo featuring a giant panda, the symbol of the Chengdu region in the country. Huya is joining forces with Chinese esports club Royal Never Give Up as a consultant on operating the team and the color of the logo contains the main colors of Huya and RNG, representing the joint forces of the two companies.
The Game Awards, set for Thursday, Dec. 6 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, will livestream to gamers around the world across a record-setting 40 global video networks, including expanded distribution in China. The Game Awards reached over 18 million viewers in 2017 and brings together game developers, Esports champions, digital influencers and Hollywood names for a night of awards, exclusive new game announcements and musical performances. Platforms that will air The Game Awards live on December 6 will include YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Mixer, Steam TV, PlayStation 4, Xbox Live, IGN, GameSpot, Polygon, MLG, Caffeine.tv, with more to be announced.
Capcom announced that Rob Dyer has joined Capcom U.S.A., Inc. as chief operating officer where he will be charged with running all aspects of the company’s publishing business including sales, marketing and operations in the Americas. Dyer has held various leadership roles with companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment America, Zynga, Eidos Interactive, Crave Entertainment Group and more.

UFC announced the appointment of Nick Smith as Vice President of Global Partnerships. Smith will be responsible for overseeing partnerships for UFC with a focus on establishing strategic relationships with new international partners. Prior to joining UFC, Smith most recently served as the Global Chief Commercial Officer at Bastion Collective, where he first represented the UFC brand.
