COVID-19 Update: Cypress Mountain is committed to providing a safe recreation experience for all visitors to our facilities. In order to continue to offer outdoor recreation for local Skiers, Riders and Sliders, Cypress Mountain will diligently monitor and implement COVID-19 transmission avoidance guidelines and any new direction from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and/or Health Link BC. As well Cypress Mountain is implementing an increase in precautionary measures resort-wide in an effort to reduce any likelihood of transmission. With these efforts and precautionary guidelines in place, we will continue Resort operations as scheduled. Our Action Plan: Increase outdoor seating and reduce indoor dining density in the Cypress Creek Lodge to support social distancing measures Hand sanitizing stations have being installed throughout the Resort Implement more frequent disinfecting of public areas during the day Increase communication efforts to encourage all guests to undertake diligent hand hygiene, undertake respiratory etiquette, and follow other social distancing guidelines including remaining at home if any person displays or feels symptoms or has been in contact in any way with affected persons Undertake daily deep cleaning of all public areas across the Resort We wish to place particular emphasis on the importance of health and well-being of all our guests and employees and we specifically request that all individuals do their part. Stay home if you feel unwell, show symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. We have a strict mandate for employees to stay home if they show any symptoms, feel unwell or been exposed to COVID-19 so you can be assured that we are taking measures behind the scenes - all employees have been instructed to stay in touch with their supervisor and let them know immediately should they show any symptoms or have any contact with affected people. Following the announcement on March 12th from BC Health Minister we have decided to cancel several upcoming social/group events at Cypress Mountain in efforts to mitigate any chances of community spread of any illness. We will continue to work with public health officials and professionals to monitor the situation and take all appropriate precautions. Please stay tuned for updates and more information about resort operations. What you can do: If you are visiting Cypress Mountain or any other public setting on your way to the Resort, we recommend following the precautions below during your visit: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds - if soap and water are not available, hands can be cleaned with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer available throughout the resort Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands Avoid close contact with people as much as possible especially indoors Cough, sneeze or clear your throat into your sleeve at the bend in your arm, or feel welcome to wear a mask if desired Public Health Canada has regular updates and additional information on being prepared.
