Dafne Schippers bij FBK Games

Op 6 juni staat Dafne Schippers aan de start van de 100 meter bij de FBK Games. Ze kijkt ernaar uit om weer in Hengelo te lopen; ze heeft namelijk veel mooie herinneringen aan de wedstrijd! Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat Dafne als eerste Nederlandse op de 100 meter onder een tijd van 11 seconden dook? In 2015 finishte ze in 10.94 en won ze de FBK Games.

In oktober 2021, na de Olympische Spelen in Tokyo, wisselde Dafne van coach. Hard en in detail werd er de afgelopen maanden getraind om geleidelijk weer wedstrijdfit te worden.

Dafne: „Ik heb samen met een nieuw team van krachttrainers en Wigert Thunnissen ongelofelijk hard en in detail gewerkt aan mijn herstel en om geleidelijk weer wedstrijdfit te worden. We hebben mooie stappen gemaakt. Ik heb daarnaast veel zin om weer aan de start in Hengelo te staan. Ik heb zoveel mooie herinneringen aan de FBK Games en het is gewoon lekker om weer voor thuispubliek te lopen. Dat geeft me altijd wat extra’s.”

Dafne Schippers at FBK Games

On 6 June, Dafne Schippers will start in the 100m at the FBK Games. She is looking forward to run in Hengelo again and has many great memories of the FBK Games. Did you know, for example, that Dafne was the first Dutch person to run in under 11 seconds in the 100 metres? In 2015 she finished in 10.94 and won the FBK Games.

In October 2021, after the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Dafne changed coaches. For the past few months she has been training to gradually become fit again for competition.

Dafne: "Together with a new team of fitness coaches and Wigert Thunnissen I have worked incredibly hard and in detail on my recovery and to gradually get back into competition again. We have made great progress. I'm also really looking forward to being back at the start in Hengelo. I have so many great memories of the FBK Games and it's just nice to run in front of a home crowd again."
