Hair stylist, yoga instructor and entrepreneur Brittany Yates started The Hairspace Salon about three-and-a-half years ago at the Shoppes at Grand Prairie. Since then, she opened The Nailspace Event Spa two years ago and The Wellspace Fitness Studio and Spa about eight months ago at the outdoor shopping mall in North Peoria.

Longtime Peoria-area radio personality Rick Hirschmann is leaving the area after four decades for Greenville, S.C.
