SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
Doctrine and Covenants 8:2-3
Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart.  Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation; behold, this is the spirit by which Moses brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Ezra Taft Benson
Ezra Taft Benson
We live in a very wicked world. We are surrounded with propaganda that evil is good and good is evil. False teachings abound that affect us. Almost everything that is wholesome, good, pure, uplifting, and strengthening is being challenged as never before. This latter-day work is spiritual. It takes spirituality to comprehend it, to love it, and to discern it. Therefore seek the Spirit in all you do. Keep it with you continually. That is our challenge (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Ezra Taft Benson, p. 159).

TODAY IN CHURCH HISTORY
February 3, 2021
1926 - The first of two important meetings (on February 3 and 8) of the Church Board of Education to decide the future of Church education was held.  It was decided to expand the seminary program throughout the Church and to turn the junior colleges owned by the Church over to state governments.  The colleges included Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, Weber College in Ogden, Utah, Dixie College in St. George, Utah, and Gila College in Thatcher, Arizona.  Idaho refused to take Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, so the Church decides to keep it open.  It later becomes BYU-I.
