SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY Alma 34:17-18
"Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye may begin to exercise your faith unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you; Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is mighty to save."
QUOTE OF THE DAY Ezra Taft Benson | "I hope we will not live in the past. People who live in the past don’t have very much future. There is a great tendency for us to lament about our losses, about decisions that we have made that we think in retrospect were probably wrong decisions. There is a great tendency for us to feel badly about the circumstances with which we are surrounded, thinking they might have been better had we made different decisions. We can profit by the experience of the past. But let us not spend our time worrying about decisions that have been made, mistakes that have been made. Let us live in the present and in the future.” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Ezra Taft Benson, p. 86).

1844 - The Prophet Joseph spent much of the afternoon with the Sac and Fox Indians that were visiting the city of Nauvoo. They told the Prophet about how they had been robbed of their land by the Spanish, French, English, and now the Americans and how they had been cruelly treated. The Prophet in turn told them that he “knew they had been wronged” and “advised them not to sell any more land, but to cultivate peace with the different tribes and with all men, as the Great Spirit wanted them to be united and to live in peace.” He then told them about the Book of Mormon. | “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him” (Titus 1:16) | As a person studies and learns about Jesus Christ, they come to learn of his personality. They learn of his attributes and characteristics which the Prophet Joseph Smith taught were essential to develop faith in him. As we learn more about him, we desire to be like him and begin to incorporate his attributes and characteristics in our own life. Click Here!
