SCRIPTURE OF THE DAY
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Joseph Fielding Smith
‘“It is necessary for us to walk in the full light of the truth, not in part of the truth only. I haven’t the privilege of discarding some of the principles of the gospel and believing others, and then feel that I am entitled to the full blessings of salvation and exaltation in the kingdom of God. If we want exaltation, if we want the place which the Lord has prepared for those who are just and true, then we must be willing to walk in the full light of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and keep all the commandments” (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Fielding Smith, p.. 233).

TODAY IN CHURCH HISTORY
October 21, 2020
1848 - Oliver Cowdery attends the conference of the Church held at Kanesville, Iowa, and recounts his involvement with the Prophet Joseph Smith and the founding of the Church. He bears testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the leadership of the Twelve Apostles following the death of the Prophet Joseph Smith. He had been excommunicated in April 1838 and this was the first time he had spoken to a Latter-day Saint congregation in over ten years. He is accepted back into fellowship and rebaptized nine days later.
